Playground Wear mats are necessary to keep loose surfacing from displacing under swing seats and at slide exists. They are also essential in keeping the use zone of swings intact. These ADA compliant mats make maintenance of loose surfacing such as engineered wood fiber, and rubber mulch easy by keeping the surface under high traffic areas intact. They can also be installed on top of high traffic areas on poured in surfaces and synthetic turf to minimize damage to those surfaces. The mats are heavy enough (Eighty pounds) that they are not easily displaced. They are also beveled for ADA accessibility and to minimize tripping hazards.
These mats are 32”x 54” x 2” depth with a beveled edge (80lb). They are made of 100% recycled rubber, polyurethane binder and Colorant.
- Lay mat on the ground where it will be installed and mark its position.
- Fill any holes where loose fill was displaced
- Place the mat where it is level with the surrounding loose fill.
- These wear mats should not be secured using a landscaping pin or stake. The weight of the mat should keep it in place.
