Introduction to Playground Code

This course is designed so that you can make sure that you and your employees are aware of the most important and basic aspects of playground code in order to ensure the continued safety of your playground and your kids. We take all the intricacies of CPSC, ASTM and ADA standards and boil them down into actionable units that make sense to the person doing the day to day planning, maintenance and update of a public playground.  This course is perfect for everyday playground maintenance personnel.

In this course, we will cover:

• Risk Management
• Injury statistics
• Fall height and critical fall heights
• Use Zones
• Entanglements
• Head and neck entrapments
• Crush and shear hazards
• Protrusions
• Suspended hazards
• Tripping hazards

Breaking down these important aspects of playground regulations and codes is one of the many ways we can help you ensure the safety of the children in your community. 

This is a 2.5 hour course is taught via zoom. A minimum of 10 students needed for the class to take place.
