Most playground injuries are due to falls to the safety surface, making regular playground surface testing essential. A rigorous HIC and GMAX drop test is the only way to determine if your playground safety surface meets the strict safety standards set by ASTM and CPSC. With over 200,000 playground-related injuries each year, many of which involve head injuries, it's crucial to verify that your surfacing can minimize the risk. Trassig offers both maintenance HIC testing and ASTM compliant Triax GMAX and HIC testing. Ask us which one is more suitable to you.
We use state-of-the-art equipment to accurately measure critical factors like Peak G and Head Injury Criteria (HIC). These measurements help assess the impact attenuation of your playground surface.

Having run a park and rec district for over 30 years, I have to say that I am very impressed with the Trassig team. Our playground poured in surface was delayed for many reasons: Weather, material getting late....etc. Long story short, we called Trassig and gave them a ridiculously short notice to do the Triax drop test on our new and (very expensive rubber surface). We couldn't open up the playground to the public without insuring the surface had the right impact attenuation properties. The Trassig rep understood our plight and jumped on the test as soon as the surface had cured. I am indebted to these guys and highly recommend them. They were professional. They knew what they were doing, and more importantly they were very pleasant to deal with.
The Trassig CPSI representative was awesome. He explained the entire process for us in a way we could easily understand. The playground Triax test was more detailed than I thought. I learnt a lot through this process.
The Trassig team was prompt, professional. It was very educational to watch these guys set up their tripods and test our new poured in place rubber surface from different fall heights. We received an immediate verbal OK that our surface passed the HIC tests, and within a couple days we received a detailed report.
