Trassig's Playground Poured in Place Rubber Rebinder™ is the solution to the age old problem of granulation that usually leads to cracks, holes and expensive repairs to the rubber surface. It is designed to replenish your playground safety surfacing with the bonding agents that were lost to UV exposure. It is a one component product that is ready to use without mixing with any other solvents. It is very easy to apply and will ensure your rubber surface will last.
The Different Stages of Poured In Place Deterioration
How to Recondition Your Poured In Place Surface with Trassig's Rebinder™
When do I apply the Rebinder™?
You can only rebind your playground surface when it needs to be reconditioned. Rebinding prematurely can harden the Poured In Place system. We tell our clients to do the "Shuffle test" which means rubbing your feet on the rubber surface to see if you can easily dislodge the granules. It's very important to ONLY Rebind when you see loose granules on your surface.
How does the rebinder compare to some of the water based conditioners out there?
There is no comparison. The Rebinder is a superior product by far. H2O or Water based surface conditioners might make it easier to clean machinery if they are sprayed, but they don't offer nearly the strengh and elasticity of the Rebinder. Many clients that use the water based sealers call us to order the Rebinder.
Will the Rebinder affect the impact attenuation of my safety surface?
No it will not, if used properly. We have tested the Rebinder extensively over the last 15 years and we have used it on thousands of surfaces. We have never experienced a difference in the HIC and GMAX values in our drops.

You will need the following tools:
Look for a sunny day above 60 degrees. If it is going to rain within four hours after applying, do not rebind.
Step 1: Use a leaf blower to remove loose granulated rubber and other debris from area. If necessary, use a power washer with a wide angle nozzle and binder friendly detergent to sanitize the surface. Make sure your surface is COMPLETELY dry before continuing. Check under equipment for possible excess water and moisture
Step 2: Lay down a tarp to avoid splashing.
Step 3: Pour Rebinder™ into drip pan. Do not mix with other products or solvents.
Step 4: Use a paint roller to equally distribute Rebinder™ on your poured in place surface
Step 5: Apply pressure when applying Rebinder™. Do not treat Rebinder™ like paint. You cannot apply more than a couple quotes on the same surface.
Step 6: Even though Trassig’s Rebinder™ is fast curing, secure area and allow 24 hours before use after application.

Note: All aliphatic polyurethane binders contain aliphatic isocyanate which can be an allergen. During the normal PIP or roll-on process, none of the binder becomes airborne so the method of contact is usually on the skin. For that reason, we highly recommend using long latex gloves when applying the Rebinder.

great to deal with, and great product. Went on and covered great. uploaded before and after photos.
I can't say enough good things about this product.
The guy that installed my rubber pool deck wanted $7000 to stop the granulation. The Trassig team walked me through the entire process and I did it for less than $500. If you are not sure that you can do it yourself, I am a 73 year old lady and I was able to do it .
I had used another product, that I can't even remember the name. It was more expensive than the rebinder. something like Maxx conditioner H20. The granulation did not stop. The rebinder stopped it. And this is the product i will be using from now on.
Worked great
